Magitek

Magitek is a magic-based automation mod really early into development.

I found out about the jam just late yesterday, so what you are seeing here is what I did on top of a prototype I had made earlier this week.

For now, we just have two blocks: a rune and a crystal. Both are mimicking Minecraft's redstone dust and redstone block, respectively.

You can link a crystal with a line of runes to power a torch (or any On/Off state block). But it is still missing some features like soft-powering (power through solid blocks) or even powering doors and trapdoors.

My intent was to develop those first to better understand how to mod in Hytale, but my main goal is to have something similar to redstone with a broader approach, with magic runes producing different effects for each type of block, using a systemic design.
