Chronoshift is a mythical, ancient clock that manipulates time in the most dangerous moments.

What is Chronoshift?

It is a one-time-use survival item that automatically rewinds time when you would otherwise die, restoring your health, inventory, and position.. When activated, Chronoshift creates a "checkpoint" of your current state. If you later take fatal damage, a 3-second countdown begins and you are teleported back to the activation point. Your health is restored to 100%, your inventory is reverted to the saved state, and the item is consumed.

Chronoshift can be toggled on or off manually with right-click. To ensure fairness and avoid abuse, the item has strict limitations while active:

• Chronoshift can be activated from anywhere, but it will only trigger if it is equipped in the offhand (bottom-left slot, slot 1) at the moment fatal damage is taken.
• While active, you cannot drop items, open containers, or interact with blocks.
• You can still move items inside your inventory at any time.
• Simply having Chronoshift in your inventory also blocks most interactions, though dropping items is still allowed.

The protection system is designed to preserve normal gameplay while preventing duplication. You can move, break, and place blocks as usual, and you can organize your inventory, but actions that could lead to exploits are blocked. Chronoshift is meant to be a powerful but limited survival tool. It does not remove danger, but gives players a second chance when taking risks, encouraging careful and intentional use rather than passive safety.

Crafting

The item is craftable at an Arcane Bench (Tier 1+) using gold, topaz, silver, and a teleporter, and is intended to fit naturally into the progression-based feeling of Hytale.
